About the Owner and Art Educator

Susan M. Bagrationoff is the owner and art educator of Artsy Fartsy Art Lessons. Teaching art has been Susan's dream since she was about 7 years of age. Upon moving to Kent, WA, Susan's long time dream of opening up an art education studio became a reality. In addition to instructing kids and adults in art at her studio, Susan is an Art Docent at East Hill Elementary for a first grade class.

She graduated with her Bachelors in Fine Arts in 2002  from Florida International University with her major in painting and two minors; one in art history and education. Susan became an early elementary teacher in Miami, Florida in 2005, teaching first grade and kindergarten. Susan decided to move to the west coast of Florida in 2012 to Ft. Myers where she taught first grade for three years. In 2013, while in Fort Myers, Artsy Fartsy Art Lessons was born. Susan taught multiple classes on the weekends privately in her own home. In 2015, Susan became an art teacher at a public middle school in Fort Myers.  However, a desire to explore a new city and reconnect with old friends brought Susan to Kent, WA in June 2016.
